Eau Claire officers responded to the big box store just before p. Wednesday night after getting a call about a woman and her dog stealing items from the store. She was asked to leave by staff and left the store to perform karate moves in the parking lot. Smith was arrested and fought with officers — she also attempted to kick out a window on the squad car. While this was occurring, Vann had made his way to the back of the store and removed all of his clothing exposing himself to other customers. Vann retrieved new clothing from the racks but did not purchase these items. When Officers approached Vann he refused to stop and attempted to run over an Officer with his scooter. Officers physically stopped the scooter and arrested Vann. Smith faces charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and misdemeanor bail jumping. Her son was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct and retail theft.

Mother let dog run loose in Wisconsin Walmart and performed a series of karate moves while son stripped naked, police say. Benny Vann and Lisa Smith were arrested at Walmart after performing karate and getting naked. Photo: Eau Claire Police Department. Police got quite the kick out of a mother and son wreaking havoc inside a Wisconsin Walmart with their dog. Officers with Eau Claire Police Department responded to reports of a theft in progress at the shopping center around p. Smith was asked to leave the store, but continued to cause trouble in the parking lot, where she performed a series of karate moves. Bo meanwhile, attempted to escape the Walmart with a stolen treat — a box of Jiffy Cornbread Muffin mix. He made his way to the back of the Walmart and stripped down, exposing himself to other customers.
Their dog chipped in, too. Investigators said the dog is named Bo. Smith allegedly brought Bo into the store without a leash, so he easily ditched his owner and started running up to unsuspecting customers. While Bo was doing that, Smith began tearing apart store displays and placing them in her shopping cart, police said. Walmart staff asked her to leave, and she complied. Police said she left the store to perform karate moves in the parking lot. Bo, on the other hand, had not been brought to heel. By the time anyone found him, he was on his way out of the store with a box of Jiffy cornbread muffin mix in his mouth. She allegedly kicked out a patrol car window when they finally got her in custody.
